The Eganville Figure Skating Club
strives to ensure that skaters of all ages and abilities achieve their skating goals in a safe, positive environment. The coaches, club executive, and many volunteers have the best interests of our skaters as their sole motivation. |
Skating Benefits
Many of the skills that our skaters develop through the pursuit of skating are life skills that will serve them well in their endeavors - dedication, hard work, perseverance, sportsmanship, friendship, mutual respect and support. We are proud of the positive, supportive environment in our club. |
Skate Canada Standards
The Eganville Skating Club is a registred club of Skate Canada, located with Eastern Ontario Section. This ensures that the programs offered, the skills developed and the instruction provided to our skaters all meet a specified standard that is consistent across Canada. All of our professional coaches are certified by Skate Canada through the 3M National Coaching Certification Progarm (NCCP), and our coaches in turn train our amateur volunteer program assistants to assist on the ice with instruction for CanPowerSkate, CanSkate and StarSkate programs. All coaches hold a valid and current First Aid certificate. |
Membership
The club develops skaters of all ages and abilities, youngsters to adult. Our club also encourages and supports the development of volunteers such as club executive members and Skate Canada officials including judges, evaluators and accountants.
The Eganville Figure Skating Club has more than 80 members from the villages of Eganville, Douglas, Golden Lake and Cobden. |
